Professor Stephen Pickard
Diocese of Canberra Goulburn (Chair)
Stephen was, until retirement in 2022, an assistant bishop in the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn and Executive Director of the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture at Charles Sturt University where he currently continues as an adjunct Professor of Theology. Over many decades he has served in Australia and the UK in a variety of positions in ministry and theological education. His teaching and writing has a particular focus on church, ministry and mission.
The Reverend Associate Professor Matthew Anstey
Diocese of Adelaide
Matthew is priest-in-charge at St Theodore's,
Toorak Gardens, SA, having moved into parish
ministry in September 2022 after two decades
in academia. Matthew maintains his scholarly
interest in Biblical Hebrew through his work on translating the Psalms for liturgical use, and as an honorary research fellow/supervisor at the University of Sydney, University of Queensland, University of Adelaide, and Charles Sturt University.
The Most Reverend Philip Aspinall AC
Diocese of Brisbane
Philip was, until retirement in 2022, the Archbishop of Brisbane (2002-2022), and was also the Primate of the Anglican Church of Australia from 2005 until 2014. Born in Tasmania, he was ordained for ministry in that Diocese and served there until he was consecrated to be an Assistant Bishop in the Diocese of Adelaide in 1999.
Dr Leanne Beagley
Diocese of Melbourne
Leanne is an experienced mental health clinical and policy professional, a seasoned CEO and a non-executive Board Director. She has served on the Melbourne Diocesan Synod and on many Committees including as an inaugural Director for the Melbourne Anglican Diocesan Corporation, chairing a working group on Gender Quotas, and Archbishop-in-Council. She was a lay representative to the General Synod for 20 years and was a member of the General Synod Standing Committee for a number of years until 2021.

Katherine Bowyer
Diocese of Newcastle
Katherine is the Anglican Dean of Newcastle, the first woman appointed to this role. Ordained in 2002, her ministry has been working for healing in communities impacted by trauma, as well as exercising a strong advocacy for social justice issues.
Elise Christian
Diocese of Sydney
Elise is a student in the Master of Divinity program at Trinity College Theological School, pursuing a specialisation in Biblical languages. Elise attends an Anglican Church in the Diocese of Sydney, where she is active in a number of areas of justice-related advocacy.

Jane Freemantle OAM
Dioceses of Melbourne & Wangaratta
Jane has had over 20 years as a (Lay) Examining Chaplain in Dioceses of Perth, Melbourne, and Wangaratta. She is a Lay Reader and has served on numerous Diocesan committees in these Dioceses (and Diocese of Adelaide) over the past 30 years including as a rep to General Synod.

Luke Hopkins
Diocese of Melbourne
Luke is the chaplain of Trinity College Melbourne.
He grew up in the Hunter Valley NSW and was ordained in the Diocese of Newcastle, before moving to the UK and then to Melbourne for ministry and study. Formerly vicar in a parish, Luke's doctoral thesis encompassed Australian Anglicanism, Episcopacy and Patristics.
Dr Muriel Porter OAM
Diocese of Melbourne
Muriel is a Melbourne journalist, writer and academic. Formerly a long-term member of General Synod and
its Standing Committee, she was a leading advocate for women priests and bishops, and has published numerous books and articles on contemporary Australian Anglican issues.

Jeremy Greaves
Diocese of Brisbane
Jeremy is Archbishop of the Anglican Diocese of Southern Queensland. He has worked in the Dioceses of Adelaide, Willochra, the Northern Territory and Brisbane in urban, regional and remote parish communities, in chaplaincy and in administration and governance.
The Reverend Professor Dorothy Lee AM FAHA
Diocese of Melbourne
Dorothy is an Anglican priest, a member of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, a Professor in the University of Divinity at Trinity College, a New Testament scholar and assists St Paul’s Cathedral Melbourne. She has published widely in biblical studies: especially the Gospel of John, in New Testament theology and spirituality, and in women’s ministry within the New Testament.

Diocese of Newcastle
Sonia is an assistant bishop in the diocese of Newcastle. She has held a variety of ministry
positions within that diocese over the years.
The Venerable Canon Professor Peter Sandeman AM
Dioceses of Adelaide, Willochra & The Murray
Peter is an Anglican Deacon licensed as the Canon
for Social Justice in the dioceses of Adelaide and Willochra and the Archdeacon for Social Justice in
 The Murray. Peter is an Adjunct Professor in the
 Centre for Social Impact Flinders, and earlier this 
year was made a Member of the Order of Australia 
for service to the Anglican Church and the
 community of South Australia.
Dr Carolyn Tan
Diocese of Perth
Carolyn is a lawyer and General Synod lay representative from Perth where she serves on numerous Diocesan committees. She was a member
of the General Synod Public Affairs Commission for many years, including 5 years as its Chairperson. Carolyn was a member of the General Synod Standing Committee for over 10 years.
